Parents may accompany their child to the competition mats for support and encouragement but must remain outside the main Division area.

Competitors and children under age 5 do not need a ticket. All other spectators must purchase a $10 admission ticket at the door in order to enter the tournament area. Each ticket includes a stub that can be redeemed for an official Hanmadang T-shirt.

Each competitor will perform twice, with their best score recorded. Competitors are scored based on Tae (lower body), Kwon (upper body), and Do (performance quality & execution)

Scoring is based on cumulative points. No head contact is allowed. Full sparring gear is mandatory including chest guard, arm guards, shin guards, and groin cup for males.
